EFSA Reviews Carvacrol, Cinnamaldehyde & Capsicum Oleoresin Blend Feed Additive for Broiler Authorisation Renewal

On December 12, 2025, European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) published its evaluation conclusion on the feed additive composed of carvacrol, cinnamaldehyde and capsicum oleoresin. The authority endorsed its safety for broilers, consumers and the environment under recommended usage, paving the way for a new 10-year authorisation. It offers key backing for phytogenic antibiotic substitutes in the EU feed sector.
